Nightlife on Provo is fairly quiet. However, if you're up for dancing, the nightclub Stardust and Ashes (on Leeward Highway near the turn-off for the Allegro hotel) has something going on each night from Tuesday to Saturday, including a mellow jazz night on Tuesday, a late late "island party" night on Friday and salsa and merengue at Saturday's Latin night. For more sedate fun, you can head to the casino at the Allegro to try your hand at blackjack and roulette. The biggest party of the year is held around "Provo Day", which takes place in late July and early August. There is a beauty pageant, a regatta and a parade of floats and a big weekend party with live music and stalls (normally around the ballpark in Downtown) selling beer and local food like souse and conch fritters
