Nearly all visitors arrive at Luddington Airport, roughly in the centre of the island, where there's always a string of taxis waiting outside; a ride to the hotels along Grace Bay costs US$12-20. There are also a couple of car rental desks here as well. A bus service operates along the island's main artery, Leeward Highway, but it does not run to the airport or by any timetable. If you want to explore the island for a day or two it's worth renting a car (or a jeep if you want to make a trip to Malcolm Roads); try Rent-a-Buggy (phone 649/946-4158), Provo Rent-a-Car (phone 649/946-4404) or Avis (phone 649/946-4705). Expect to pay US$55-60 a day including insurance. Scooters can be rented from Scooter Bob's (phone 649/946-4684) for US$30/day. For taxis , try Nell's (phone 649/231-0051 or 941-3228) or Provo Taxi (phone 649/946-5481).
