Dora has run this place - best of the native restaurants - for over a decade and still dishes out excellent and relatively inexpensive fare from curried chicken, lobster and goat to beef stew and creole snapper or grouper. Monday and Thursday have a seafood buffet where, for US$22, you get a great selection of conch fritters, lobster, turtle and fish. Open all day.

Cocktails are excellent, particularly during Friday happy hour (5.30-7pm), when trademark margaritas go for US$3.50 a shot. Lunch and dinner Mon-Sat. This established bakery sells a great selection of plain or filled croissants, rolls and sandwiches from around US$5 as well as giant muffins and good coffee. Mon-Fri 6am-3pm.
