and inexpensive fare all day, including grouper with peas and rice
and cracked conch, and there's occasional live entertainment at
weekends.
Pappa Grunt's Seafood Restaurant
Whitby phone 649/946-7301. Expect to find lots of local fish and
conch on offer here, served in a variety of ways, along with fried
chicken and burgers. Most dishes cost US$6-10.
Pelican Beach Hotel
Whitby phone 649/946-7112. Good mixture of local and international
food, with plenty of fine grilled snapper and grouper served up with
peas and rice as well as rib eye steaks and lobster salad for
US$15-20. The place can lack atmosphere when its quiet, but there's
a very easy-going vibe.

pizza and pasta, at this all-inclusive, where non-residents can get a pass for
dinner. The chef lays on daily specials that might include veal, lobster or
fillet steak. Expect to pay upwards of US$35 for a three-course meal.
